About JEE

Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) is an all-India common entrance examination conducted for admission to various undergraduate programs such as Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), Bachelor of Engineering (B.E), Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch) and Bachelor of Planning (B. Planning)

The First Stage Of The Examination - JEE (Main) Consists Of Two Papers

  • JEE (Main) Paper - 1 serves as the qualifying examination for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) and institutions recognised or funded by the participating state governments.
  • JEE (Main) Paper - 2 is specifically for admission to undergraduate architecture and planning programs.

The second stage of the examination - JEE (Advanced) serves as the qualifying examination for admission to undergraduate programs at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and the Indian School of Mines (ISM). JEE Main is the eligibility test for the JEE Advanced examination.
